Dominant Sabalenka Wins Consecutive WTA Top Player Awards.

The tennis star in action
Aryna Sabalenka ended the season with an outstanding twenty-three to three Grand Slam match record.

The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been selected the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second successive season.

The twenty-seven-year-old won four tournament victories – the most on tour – including retaining the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to secure her fourth Grand Slam singles triumph.

A Season of Consistency

Across the season, Sabalenka reached a tour-best nine championship matches, with losses coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.

The Belarusian also triumphed at the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open in May. She remained the whole season as the top-ranked player, ending 2025 atop the rankings for a second straight year.

In July, she achieved the status of being the first athlete to top 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams in 2015.

Historic Numbers

Sabalenka ended the competitive year with a sixty-three to twelve win-loss record, and picked up a record £11m in prize money.

She earned almost eighty percent of the votes cast by international tennis media.

On 28 December, she is poised to compete against 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match in a bid to "help bring women's tennis to a greater prominence".
